The Red Island

165 million years ago spit of land split from what was to be the Indian landmass and stayed closer to the African continent but far enough to blossom in splendid isolation. The Red Island has majestic landscapes from palm and forest-fringed beaches to semi-arid deserts, limestone pinnacles, volcanoes, and grassy plateaus and not surprisingly immense diversity of wildlife, some 80% of its species are found nowhere else on earth.

In these 9 days we sample the riches of this land.

This is a great trip for wildlife watching, landscape and photography.
