Itineraries
Day 1
Arrival at Port Blair - Garacharma, Sippighat
Pick-up from airport & check into the resort, followed by a briefing of the tour plan. Post lunch, which we will head out
towards our birding hotspot Sippighat. Shore birds and wetland birds that can be seen in this area are Plovers, Stilts, Ducks
(Andaman teal), Curlew, Godwit, Egrets (Chinese egret), Herons (Chinese pond heron), Warblers, Kingfishers Etc.. After
some evening birding, we will cover the nocturnal birds and return back to the resort. Birds to expect include Andaman
Barn Owl, Andaman Scops-Owl, Andaman Hume’s Hawk Owl, Andaman Nightjar and Oriental Scops-Owl.
Day 2
Birding around Shoal Bay
We will start very early morning drive (4.30 a.m) towards Shoal bay to reach the hotspot on time. We will spend the day
birding around Kalatang and Shoal Bay Mangroves and return back in the evening. Birds to expect include Andaman
Serpent-Eagle, Andaman Crake, Andaman Wood-Pigeon, Andaman Cuckoo-Dove, Andaman Green-Pigeon, Andaman
Coucal, AndamanWoodpecker, Andaman Cuckoo-Shrike, Andaman Bulbul, Andaman Shama, Andaman Flowerpecker,
Andaman White-headed Starling, Andaman Drongo, Andaman Treepie, Small Minivet, Scarlet Minivet, Asian FairyBluebird, Orange-headed Thrush, Black-naped Monarch-Flycatcher, White-eye, Glossy Starling, Hill Myna, Black-naped
Oriole, Greater Racket tailed Drongo, Eastern Jungle Crow, White-Breasted Woodswallow, Forest Wagtail, Spot-breasted
Woodpecker, Chestnut-headed Bee-eater, White Collared Kingfisher, White-breasted Kingfisher, Ruddy Kingfisher, Blue-eared Kingfisher, Stork-billed Kingfisher, Brown-backed Needletail-Swift, White-bellied Swiftlet, Violet Cuckoo, Indian

If possible we shall do some night birding.
Day 3
Ograbranj/Sippighat Wetlands
At 5 a.m, we will start towards the Ograbraj Wetlands stopping at Sippighat wetlands. We will move to Ferrargunj to
spot the endemic birds missed out on previous days. We will return back after covering the nocturnal birds. Birds to
expect include Shore birds and wetland birds including Plovers, Stilts, Ducks (Andaman teal), Curlews, Godwit, Egrets
(Chinese egret), Herons (Chinese pond heron), Bittern (Yellow, Black & Cinnamon), Warblers, Pacific Swallow,
Kingfishers, Water cock; Edible-nest Swiftlet; Glossy Swiftlet; Terek Sandpiper; Ruddy breasted Crake, Brown-backed Needletail; Red-throated Pipit; Wagtails.
Night Birding (2:30-7:30) Mt. Harriet National Park Andaman Scops-Owl, Andaman Hume’s Hawk Owl, Andaman Hawk-Owl and Oriental Scops-Owl
Day 4
Birding around Shoal Bay
On our last day, we will spend the day birding at Kalatang and Shoal Bay to cover the endemics missed out in the previous days.
Day 5
Departure
Drop to the airport. The Andaman & Nicobar birding tour ends
