Thai Birding

Thailand brings visions of Hornbills, Broadbills, Pittas and of course the very rare Spoon-billed Sandpiper. We attempt to do try all those and more in this tour of West and South Thailand. It also timed in a way to catch a glimpse of the raptor migration, watch scores of raptors as they fly south to their winter quarters.

Other exciting names would include Ratchet-tailed Treepie, Grey Peacock-Pheasant, Ferruginous Wood-Partridge, Great Slaty Woodpecker, Orange-breasted Trogon and Banded Broadbill.

These jungles also house many species of squirrel, primates, and tapirs; if you are lucky you might even chance upon a Tiger.

Travel the pristine forests and mangroves in a small group of 5 to have better sightings both qualitatively as well as quantitatively. The group would be led by one of the most experienced local guides.
