Valley of Flowers - 9 Days

Day 1: Delhi – Rishikesh – The Paddle Pundits Beach Camp (Time - 5 – 6 hours):
Board the morning Shatabdi Express departing New Delhi at 0700 hours to be in Haridwar by 1130 hours. Transfer to the Paddle Pundits Beach Camp by the Ganga (50 km) to reach just in time for hot lunch. After lunch, option of taking a rafting trip, Evening Campfire and overnight at camp.

Day 2: Rishikesh - Joshimath:
Drive to Joshimath (290 km), winter abode of Lord Badrinath and seat of Adi Shankarachrya. On arrival check - in at a hotel for overnight stay.

Day 3: Joshimath - Govindghat - Ghangaria:
Drive to Govindghat (18 km). After an early lunch start trekking to Ghangaria (13 km) the base camp for `Valley of Flowers’ and Hemkund Sahib. Overnight stay in a lodge / tented camp.

Day 4: Ghangaria - Valley of Flowers - Ghangaria:
Proceed for excursion to Valley of Flowers. The whole valley is dotted with variety of exotic Himalayan flowers and other flora. In the evening return back to camp at Ghangaria.

Day 5: Ghangaria – Hemkund Sahib - Ghangaria:
Day excursion to Hemkund Sahib, one of the Holiest pilgrimages for the Sikhs. Snow covered peaks and mountains make the backdrop for `The Hemkund Lake'. The climb to Hemkund Sahib is very steep. In the evening return back to Ghangaria for overnight camp.

Day 6: Ghangaria - Govindghat - Badrinath:
After breakfast, start return trek to reach Govindghat. On arrival at Govindghat, drive to Badrinath (28 km). Badrinath is one of the most important Hindu pilgrimage places. One of the four Dham in the Himalaya, the temple at Badrinath is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. On arrival check - into hotel for overnight stay.

Day 7: Badrinath - Joshimath - Rudraprayag :
After breakfast drive to Rudraprayag (168 km) via Joshimath. Rudraprayag is situated at the confluence of Mandakini and Alaknanda rivers. On arrival check – in at a hotel for overnight stay.

Day 8: Rudraprayag - Rishikesh :
fter breakfast drive (164 km) down to reach Rishikesh. On arrival check-in at the Paddle Pundits Beach Camp for overnight stay. Day 9: Rishikesh - Delhi After breakfast, transfer to Haridwar and time to stroll on the streets of the pilgrim town and attend the Aarti at the Har-ki-Pauri Ghat. Board the evening train to Delhi.
