Roopkund Trek - 9 Days

Day 1: Delhi – Rishikesh – The Paddle Pundits Beach Camp (Time - 5 – 6 hours):
Board the morning Shatabdi Express departing New Delhi at 0700 hours to be in Hardwar by 1130 hours. Transfer to the Paddle Pundits Beach Camp by the Ganga (50 km) to reach just in time for hot lunch. After lunch, optional rafting on the Ganga till short of Rishikesh. Evening Campfire and overnight at camp.

Day 2: Rishikesh – Loharjung (2134 m):
Arrive at Rishikesh and depart to Loharjung. Have breakfast enroute and lunch at the temple town of Baijnath. Arrive at Loharjung by evening and check in to the hotel for the night.

Day 3: Loharjung - Wan (2439 m | Time - 4 hours):
Start the trek to Wan after breakfast and arrive at the campsite by lunch-time. Overnight camp.

Day 4: Wan - Bedni Bugyal (3354 m | Time - 6 hours):
The trek to Bedni Bugyal will take you past the beautiful Auli Bugyal and views of the 6000-ers around. With packed lunch and leisurely pace, the trek concludes at Bedni Bugyal late in the afternoon. Overnight camp.

Day 5: Bedni Bugyal - Baggubasa (3800 m | Time - 4 hours):
The trail starts climbing soon after Bedni Bugyal and goes past more stark vistas. The hot lunch at Baggubasa is a welcome relief after the trek. Overnight camp.

Day 6: Baggubasa - Roopkund (4150 m) - Back to Baggubasa (Time - 6 hours):
The climb continues to the lake at Roopkund. While the route to Roopkund will take most of the time, the return is a fairly easy descent. Overnight camp.

Day 7: Baggubasa - Bedni Bugyal (Time - 4 hours):
Return to the pasture at Bedni Bugyal on the same trail that was taken on the way up. Overnight camp.

Day 8: Bedni Bugyal – Khanol (Time - 7 hours):
Return to Wan and continue to the village of Khanol. Day 9: Khanol – Sithel (Time - 5 hours) From Khanol the path descends steeply till the Nandakini River. After crossing the river, there is a small ascent before some flat walking, at the end of which is the road head, Sithel.

Day 9: Dwali - Dhakuri :
Morning after breakfast start trekking (20 km) to reach Dhakuri. Arrive and overnight stay in camp.
